START YOUR DRIVING JOURNEY

Before you start learning to drive, you must apply for a provisional licence. Applying for a provisional licence could not be easier and you can do this by going online or in person at your local post office.

Visit GOV.UK and fill in the online form for your provisional driving licence. Another way to apply would be to fill in and complete the D1 application form, available at your local Post Office.

You must be at least 15 years and 9 months old to apply. As of 24th April 2021, the fee for applying online is £34.00. Once you have your provisional licence, Drive Automatic will be delighted to start you on your car driving journey.
